Morning in Moscow

This one was all about colours. The carrot spot of an Uber taxi balanced the yellowish-brownish brickwork, and the dashed lines pulled the eye along the Moscow street — a low vantage point. There is some ineffable tension in the image, which defines its mood. The negative space in the middle works as an accent, as does the burnt-out highlight on the right wall flowing into the plume of white cloud up above. The street looked poised precariously (a slight convergence of the verticals?), and that stopped me on my way and had me grope for the camera.
