Large brutish technology feels precarious and withdrawn when you stand beneath it looking up — a well-known thing. This is a Concorde in her final resting place in Duxford Museum of Aviation (a few miles away from where I live, and close to Cambridge). I took the picture last month but have only just got round to processing it:

I love the gritty, unctuous curves of the pipework just as I do the smooth gradations of the airfoil agains the rugged concrete that supports the machine.
